Sweet + Sour Beef Bowl
MACROS (may vary)
85 C / 20 F / 50 P
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Lean ground beef (93% preferred, around 150g)
Rice and/or cauliflower rice
Romaine lettuce
Mushrooms
Tomato
Cabbage mix
Avocado (50g)
Sweet and sour sauce (G. Hughes brand)
OPTIONALS: pickled ginger, rice vinegar, sesame seeds
HOW TO:
Cook/prepare the base of your bowl. This means cooking your rice or heating your cauliflower.
Season your ground beef. I’d recommend white pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and a bit of cayenne pepper.
Cook your beef on medium heat in the appropriate pan. Continue to the next step when beef is starting to change color.
Add in your mushrooms. I’d say sliced is best.
When the beef has nicely browned and the water has been cooked out of the mushrooms, turn off the heat and add in 2 TBSP of your sweet and sour sauce.
Wash and chop all your veggies. Romaine is best when chopped VERY finely such that it’s almost shredded.
Once the rice, beef, and veggies are all ready, you’re good to assemble!

BONUS TIPS
For a higher calorie dish: use white or brown rice, opt for 180g-200g of ground beef, and really load up on the avocado
For a lower calorie dish: opt for either JUST cauliflower rice, or mix 50/50 with regular rice! The veggies in this dish can be rather voluminous and will be your friend here.
